Techcombank

AGILE WORKING UPLIFTING POTENTIAL

In anticipation of the public listing of shares on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, Techcombank embarked upon a modernisation program involving the design of agile workplaces in three new high-rise developments. These will support over 7,000 employees in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

Davenport Campbell was engaged to develop the workplace strategy and lead this transformative journey that involved the introduction of agile working to the financial services sector in Southeast Asia for the first time.

We worked in collaboration with Foster + Partners over a five year period to seamlessly integrate the tenancy works with the building owners works in all three CBD locations. Teamwork and a shared commitment to the projects values  meant that no task was too difficult for the workplace design team despite the language barriers, local customs, and differing time zones across three continents.

Our aim was to create a transformative digital banking experience for the bank’s customers by merging traditional values with cutting-edge technologies. The workplace is designed to support both quiet and noisy neighbourhoods, ‘work from anywhere’, and effortlessly connect each floor so the staff can achieve the brand positioning ‘outperform every day’. These workplaces allow Techcombank to place their leaders in technology, their marketers, and their product developers in one place so they can create new experiences.

Techcombank is now one of the largest joint stock banks in Vietnam with more than 300 branches serving 5 million customers, and sits at the forefront of digital transformation in the banking industry.
