TENANT CREEK SITE VISIT
Grant McLean, one of our senior designers, recently returned from Tenant Creek in the Northern Territory where he had the opportunity to inspect an old bank that’ll soon be transformed into a regional office for the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA).
This project is significant in that it will provide better services and facilities for the community ensuring the local Aboriginal people are heard, recognised and empowered. We are proud to be a part of this project and our continuing work with the NIAA.
The trip was not easy, Grant flew almost 8,000kms from Sydney to Alice Springs, to Tenant Creek, and then flew via Darwin and Katherine to get back home. However, Grant got to experience some of the amazing sights and culture of this region including hiking up Mount Sonder – the fourth highest mountain in the Northern Territory – and witnessed the stunning views of the West MacDonnell Range and surrounding desert at sunrise from the summit. Quite the accomplishment for our intrepid designer!
Swipe to see some of the photos Grant took along the way including the sunrise moment. Have you ever been to Tenant Creek? What did you think of it?
