Sydney Comedy Festival

The Sydney Comedy Festival is Sydney’s biggest annual comedy event. Every April and May, over 250 of the best comedians from Australia and beyond take to stages across Sydney for a massive month of comedy, followed by a national Showcase Tour from May to December.
There will be 245 shows across venues including Newtown’s Enmore Theatre to the Factory Theatre in Marrickville, the Pavilion Performing Arts Centre in Sutherland, the Concourse in Chatswood, Parramatta’s Riverside Theatres and more.

Darkfield
Until May 28th
DARKFIELD is a collection of multi-sensory audio experiences in complete darkness.
The DARKFIELD experiences take place inside purpose-built signature white shipping containers and use binaural audio, sensory deprivation and special effects to place the audience at the center of a narrative completely at odds with the space it occupies.
Immersed in the dark, the total loss of vision causes other senses to heighten, fixating on to every movement and sound.

Canberra International Music Festival

The Canberra International Music Festival presents a 10-day festival of classical and contemporary art music in May each year, with programming unique to the national capital.
With memorable, inspiring and thought-provoking music, the 2023 Canberra International Music Festival paints a musical portrait of our contemporary world. Through the magic of music, the Festival invites its audience to find to the child inside all of us.

Raclette Igloo Experience

If the mere thought of cheese has you feeling all warm and gooey inside, then you’ll be thrilled to hear that Melbourne is hosting
a magical pop-up experience exclusively dedicated to melted cheese. From May 19 to June 11, Fed Square Skyline will transform into a winter wonderland complete with 14 private igloos for parties of six to eight people.
Raclette is more than just melted cheese – it’s the perfect excuse to cosy up with your nearest and dearest around the fire and take in breathtaking views of Melbourne’s skyline. Each igloo is decked out with a fire pit, twinkling fairy lights and a hot raclette grill to melt the 1.8kg of cheese you’re provided. Take note from your French friends and melt it over a selection of premium cured meats, boiled potatoes, onions and pickles, and pair it with the spiced warmth of mulled wine.

Gnocchi Festival

The much-loved festival is back for another round, with a slew of the city’s gnocchi-loving vendors invited to plate up their unique versions of the classic potato dish on Sunday, May 7. Only this time, the event’s grown so popular, it’s had to move to an expanded space in the carpark of sibling venue Holmes Hall.
Head in from noon to devour a range of gnocchi-inspired creations from the likes of Cafe Merenda, Pasta Face, Hole in the Wall and Gnonnas Gnocchi, with vegan and gluten-free options also in the mix.
